A Sentimental Journey
The Chandler Air Service flight school is hosting a tribute to veterans by flying in the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress "Sentimental Journey" for a public tour, including sightseeing flights.
On November 18, the WWII bomber "Sentimental Journey" will visit Chandler Municipal Airport to participate in Chandler Air Service's open house day. "Sentimental Journey" is one of a handful of Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress still flying in the world. It is maintained and operated as a flying museum by the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force based in Mesa, AZ. The Arizona Wing Museum and its restored aircraft and artifacts span over 90 years of aviation historylinks.
