Celebrity Private Pilots
Filed in archive General on April 29, 2005

How many movie stars and celebrities are private pilots? I have no idea. I do know three who are though: Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, and John Travolta. Any others come to mind? Leave a comment.
BTW, a bit of trivia for you. Did you know that Tom Cruise could not have done in real-life what he portrayed in the movie Top Gun? Navy pilots have to be at least 5' 8". Tom stands only 5' 7".

I have posted a list of the UK's celebrity pilots on my blog. There's a link from there to a list of those in the USA.

Information about

I am with Angel Flight East. We are the non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate free air transportation to financially and medically disadvantaged patients so they can get the treatments and surgeries they so desperately need. We accomplish this tremendous task through the generosity of our many volunteer pilots, who donate their aircraft, time and fuel.
We are having our 16th Annual Vintage Aircraft and Classic Car show on Sept 10, 2005 at Wings Field in Blue Bell, PA. from 10AM to 3PM. Rain date Sept 11, 2005. All net proceeds go to benefit Angel Flight East.
I was wondering if you knew of any pilot who would be interested in flying in and displaying their aircraft. We supply a breakfast and lunch and there are many activities for the kids, The particulars are not finalized as of yet, however, if you know of anyone, please let me know so I may forward to them a registration form. I also, if possible, would like to post our event if possible.
If you have any questions, please contact at any time.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Bonni Bellet Schwartz
