Challenge Air Gives Handicap Kids a Chance to Fly
Filed in archive Aviation News on April 15, 2005

I think this organization is the coolest. To me, it represents the best of what general aviation is all about.
Challenge Air for Kids and Friends, a not-for-profit, Texas-based organization, inspires physically, mentally challenged and seriously ill children and young adults by providing the opportunity to fly in small airplanes piloted by both wheelchair and non-wheelchair aviators.
Many children dream of becoming pilots when they grow up, but those with disabilities often believe they could never fly an airplane. Challenge Air for Kids and Friends works to show children they can do anything they put their minds to, including flying an aircraft.
