As a teenager wanting to learn to fly I considered joining the Civil Air Patrol, though I never did. My mistake. I still want to join and may do so yet as we have a local wing in our town. However, that's not what this post is about.

It turns out Abacus Software has teamed with the Civil Air Patrol to produce a CAP aircraft for use with Microsoft flight simulatorlinks.

According to the press release, "Using the new Civil Air Patrol Pilot add-on, Microsoft Flight Simulator users will be able to 'fly' different types of CAP aircraft in a variety of aviation scenarios."

As part of their agreement, CAP will receive royalties from the sale of Civil Air Patrol Pilot which it will use to fund its youth development programs.
