The filter elements were made available from July 1, 2005 to June 20, 2006. The effected filters may exhibit a small circumferential crack in the closed endcap, which may allow fuel to bypass the filter element. SB E-1086 instructs vendors to remove affected filters from stock, and instructs owners to inspect installed filters of this part number for the endcap crack in accordance with the type certificate holders' maintenance instructions.

The FAA recommends compliance with Purolator Facet, Inc. SB E-1086, dated June 6, 2006, at the times specified. Further, all Honeywell service/ maintenance documents should be followed when maintaining these model engines.
