Firefly Fleet to Be Scrapped

The fleet has been in storage since being grounded after a number of fatal crashes involving midair engine stalling.Three Academy cadets and three instructors were killed in Firefly crashes. The Air Force bought the Fireflys for $32 million and spent $10 million trying to restructure them to make them airworthy.
