Non-Owner Pilots And Liability Insurance

If you borrow a friend's car and have an accident, you are probably covered under his liability insurance. But, what if on landing the plane you rented from the FBO, something goes wrong and damage is done to the plane and/or passengers? Are you covered? Most likely not.

Renter's insurance may seem like a luxury, but is it really? AVweb's Capt. Kevin Garrison provides some advice on insurance for those who don't own the plane they are flying.
