READY TO RACE: A TASTE OF RENO IN MISSISSIPPI

A new Reno-style air race that will be combined with an airshow is planned for June 2 to 5 in Tunica, Mississippi, located about a 30-minute drive south of memphislinks.

Jeff Landers, president and CEO of the Tunica Air Racing Association, got the idea while filming television shows on the Reno National Championship Air Races and Air Show. The Tunica event has no connection to Reno, except for the fact that some of the same pilots and aircraft will participate.

Aircraft from several classes, including the Unlimited category, will participate.

I'm fortunate to live only about an hour and a half from Tunica. So, heck yea, I plan to be in attendance!
