Seattle Museum of Flight

I had the opportunity to vist the Museum of Flight a few weeks ago when I was in Seattle and, let me tell you, it was an experience I'll never forget!

Of the many aircraft that caught my attention, one that really took center stage (aside from Airforce One, which I'll talk about in another post) was the Curtiss Robin. Not only was it one of the first planes designed for private pilots, but it was also the plane the Key brothers used in their record-breaking endurance flight in Meridian, Mississippi. Their Curtiss
Robin, named the "Ole Miss," stayed in the air for 27 days! Why is that such a meaningful thing for me? Meridian happens to be where I hail from. The grass strip from which Al and Fred Key took off is now a thriving regional airport named after the two brothers.
If you ever get the opportunity to visit the Museum of Flight, I urge you to do so. It is an experience you won't likely forget.
