I've talked about the $100 hamburger before. Every pilot knows about it. But, I've now decided to add it as a category and each week bring you reports on restaurants at or very near general aviation airports worldwide! (Mostly in the US though.) Here's the first one…
Though I'm not a gambler, I do live in Mississippi not far from Tunica, MS. It used to be a place with nothing but cotton fields. Now, it's a place with nothing but cotton fields and casinos. But, there is also a really nice airport sitting right in the middle of those fields built just for the hi-rollers. The thing even has a 7,000 ft. runway!
Tunica is just south of Memphis, so you can take some time to visit there as well. You can rent a car at the airport with anything you have left over after losing it all playing Texas Holdem. (Er…I mean, with all your winnings from playing Texas Holdem!)

oh? i haven’t been there, but i guess its good to check the place out…hmmm?
There is a great free alternative to $100 hamburger. Try http://boredpilot.com for pilot posted activities or information for layovers and overnights at airports.
$100 for a hamburger when there are so many people now looking for pilot jobs. Gee who can afford that these days. http://www.companyairplane.com
